Today's video is another DIY video which I hadn't done in a while.
The last one was from Halloween (you can see the post and video here).
This time, I will be sharing my simple yet effective recipe for coffee body scrub!
The coffee scrub has been in the market for a while now and it's basically all the same: ground coffee beans + some goodies like essential oils.
Probably the most popular coffee scrub brand is Frank and now even Sportsgirl makes its own coffee scrub!
But it's basically just ground coffee beans after all, right?
I can't help myself thinking that it's just a mixture of some oil and coffee beans, which you get after enjoying your coffee for free (well you pay for coffee beans but you would toss it away after drinking coffee so basically free).
Ok, so you can make similar stuff for free/cheap, instead of paying so much for fancy packaging, because frankly (pun? HA!) they are pretty expensive if you want to buy the branded one.
I make coffee almost everyday. I start it from grinding beans so I get the ingredients all the time.
So I decided to look up some recipes and I made little changes and I have settled for this recipe.
I have been using the same recipe for almost 6 months and I love it so much that I don't need to make any changes.
It's so simple and so easy, yet very effective so I hope you love this one too!
Ingredients:
3 tbsp (extra virgin) coconut oil
1.5 tbsp natural sea salt
1/2 cup ground coffee (grind to the size of your liking)
Adding your favorite essential oils are optional, but I like the original coconut/coffee smell.
You just mix it.
Super easy, right? I know.
Like I said in the video, there are a few things you need to be careful with this scrub:
1. They can be pretty course, so don't scrub too hard! Always gently massage.
2. It can make a mess in your shower.
And this is an additional point.
3. It never happened with me, but in some areas and buildings, blockage of the drain might be an issue. Considering all the other scrub being so successful, I think it is something to worry though.
I hope you liked it!
And have a wonderful weekend!
Hey everyone!
There is no chit chat before the video today, let's get straight into it!
Subtle, but there is burgandy color.
Close up of the eye.
If you watched my video, you'd know that this is a look for Valentine's Day.

Apparently this is a discontinued color...?
Color names of the lip products.
Mascaras from Maybelline and Loreal.
Maybelline's Great Lash is literally great with false lashes because it doesn't clump the lashes and they are not outrageously volumizing.
I used Loreal Intenza mascara for lower lashes.
DUP(Dee-up) Eyelash Fixer EX in limited edition package.
False lashes I used.
These false lashes are from Japan and they are called "Ripi-reru Matsuge".
The stlye is #05.
The other side looks like this.
I hope you liked the tutorial.
Wishing you a Happy Valentine's day with someone you love!
I'm bringing you today the second video of DIY Special Effect Makeup.
The first one is in Japanese only but you can get the gist here.
This is a Slit-Mouthed Lady look. Or maybe a Lady version of Joker.
What you are going to absolutely need is....
Tissue paper and Eyelash glue.
That's it! lol
Make sure you are using latex base glue. (Maybe you can use other kind but I have never tried so I have no idea if it will work...)
Also it would help a lot if you have MUFE Flash Palette or some kind of face paint.
You will need only red, blue, black and brown.
You can also use alternative which I mention in the video if you don't want to buy/use face paints.
Now let's have a look!
I hope you enjoyed it!
If you can practice beforehand, it will always help a lot.
I caught a nasty cold two weeks ago and it took a whole week to recover and cough is still hanging around... I know it feels like it is already spring but please be careful of cold and flu because people are still getting sick and spreading germs unfortunately...(Hopefully not me!)
It's been a while since I did the last tutorial...
I know it is overdue. SO LET'S DO IT!
Today I am showing you how to create Dohwasal makeup.
Dohwasal is a Korean word which literally translates to "Peach flower/honey Kills".
I figure from various sources that it means a woman who is so attractive like a peach nectar and kills the guys after luring them out. Apparently, it also means a woman who would have affairs/relationships with many men.
So it translates to "a very attractive woman" in the end.
I believe that this is one of the recent makeup trend in Korea and also in Japan.
In Asian countries, particularly in Korea and Japan, there definitely has been a very different trend to the rest of the world.
Japan and Korea can sometimes be very similar, and it is no exception this time.
Being very attractive/sexy has been creeping up on young girls in Japan lately. And there is a makeup style called "O-Phero makeup" which has been popular. O-phero is a madeup word with Oshare, meaning stylish and Pheromone. So it means "a stylish and sexy woman".
So you can see that Dohwasal Makeup and Ophero Makeup is not the same, but a very similar concept.
I find this trend in Asia really interesting!! I think it has been always a goal for girls to look mature and sexy in western cultures. In Asia, being humble and pure is still appreciated but looks like it is taking a turn in makeup trends.
Ok, enough lecturing.
Let's do the makeup!

I have been away for a little while because I was moving into a new place, was travelling and got sick! So much happned while I was away...
Anyways, I am back with a video called "The battle of brush cleaner".
In this video, I'm comparing three different soap/detergent which can be used to clean your makeup brushes, DOVE Beauty Bar, Sunlight Soap and DAISO Brush Cleaner.
They are quite common products you would find in shops (maybe except for DAISO one but you can get ones from other brand).
Let's see which works the best!
So, the winner was pure soap (Sunlight or Velvet)!! Any pure soap sold in laundry detergent area would be fine. I would not use the ones made for your body and face because it can contain moisturizing ingredients and it is not necesary to clean your brushes and it can make the soap clean less efficiently.
This time, I m doing a tutorial that people ask me how to do,
"Prominent Eyes Technique on Asian Eyes".
As eye shapes play major roles in makeup applications, there are many different ways to apply eye makeup, and I have certain ways I like to do my eye makeup, which is not really this one.
Don't get me wrong, I still like to do this sometimes, but as I say in the video, this technique was not made to enhance the appearance of the Asian eyes.
So I would not say that it is the best way to make your eyes look bigger and more attractive. (A lot of people in Asia want to make their eyes look bigger.)
Having said that, a makeup is just a makeup. You are free to do whatever you want. There is no rules and even if there is a rule (or more like a trend), it changes all the time.
So I hope you enjoy this video.
You can enjoy seeing how it's done on Asian eyes and how different it looks on them.
You can enjoy seeing how to do what you've always wanted.
If you can enjoy it in any ways, I would be happy.
